How to schedule blog posts in WordPress?

Scheduling blog posts in WordPress is easy and can be very handy.

I see you shiver in anticipation, so I’ll cut to the chase and share with you the simple steps to follow:

  • Firstly, you open WordPress and draft your blog as usual.
  • Secondly, you make sure you’ve added an image, selected a category and inserted a tag or two.
  • Thirdly, you look to the right where the Publish button is and just above it, click on the Edit link next to Publish Immediately.
  • Fourthly, select a month, date, hour and minute that you would like your article to go live, then click OK.
  • Fifthly, click the Publish button which should now have changed to Schedule.
  • Finally, scroll up and click Preview Post to have a look over your work.
  • Hot Patootie, you’ve done it.

All that’s left to do next is to grab Janet and go driving in the woods where there’s a light on, over at the Frankenstein place.
